Outdoor Channel Weekly Programming Highlights

Four Ducks in a Row, Friday Nights Goin’ Country and Fresh Content All Week Long

DENVER (June 30, 2016) – “Four ducks” take a “wild ride” through “uncharted” surroundings in hope of avoiding a “crush” during an “all access” excursion with Lou Tuminaro (aka “The Gunfather”) during Outdoor Channel’s second week (July 4-10) of programming in the third quarter.

Monday evening starts out with Jim Shockey’s UNCHARTED heading to Croatia, “the land of the dragon,” for a mountain sheep hunt that also sees him taking on the mighty Bora winds during his journey. Then, the network has its ducks in a row with back-to-back-to-back-to-back episodes of Duck Dynasty continuing to air every Monday night. First, Willie and Korie invite Jase and his kids to spend the weekend with them while Jase’s house is being renovated and his wife, Missy, is out of town. Next, the guys relocate to Godwin’s house due to an infestation of termites at the warehouse. Then, John Luke and Sadie visit the dentist to have their wisdom teeth removed generating plenty of embarrassing videos. Lastly, following a minor car accident caused by Willie, Si rents a mobility scooter to get around because he insists he’s in too much pain to walk on his own. Later in the evening, The Gunfather airs back-to-back episodes. First, Lou passes down a Tuminaro family tradition by helping Little Louie work on his new 10/22 rifle. In the following episode, a renowned shotgun company drops in to see if Lou’s shop is right for their brand.

Later in the week, Friday nights have gone country! First up, Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors features Craig on a hunt in Hawaii as he chases the Vancouver bull through the mountains. Then, in the second episode of Nick’s Wild Ride, Nick has elk on his mind as he visits the place where men become men in eight seconds or less. Wrapping up the evening is Friday Night at the Movies airing the 1970 classic film – Patton, featuring Academy Award® winner George C. Scott as General George S. Patton, a brilliant and controversial American general during World War II. Closing out the week, Crush with Lee and Tiffany travel to Colorado to hunt bugling bulls on the Hill Ranch.

Major League Fishing Inspires Competition that Raises More Than $25,000 for United Way in Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (June 23, 2016) – Outdoor Channel’s Jack Link’s Major League Fishing announced today their support of the 17th Annual Muransky Companies Bass Classic. The fishing tournament raised more than $25,000 for the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley by implementing the rules of the Major League Fishing tournament and leveraging the league’s official Brecknell digital scales.

The Muransky Companies Bass Classic took place on June 4 on Evans and Pine Lakes in Ohio. This year’s event, which had more than 171 pros competing in the open water competition, was inspired by the rules of Major League Fishing’s “no limits” fishing format. Under the new format, anglers immediately weigh all the “scorable bass” that they catch, and then release back into the water. The bass were scored by volunteers from local universities, high schools and fishing clubs. The new format led to a record 462 bass scored, totaling a weight of 1,097 pounds.

“Major League Fishing is proud to have inspired the 17th Annual Muransky Companies Bass Classic, which raised more than $25,000 to benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley,” said Jim Wilburn, General Manager at Major League Fishing. “It is a win-win for us, anytime we get the opportunity to work with a great cause like United Way and also promote our great sport of bass fishing.”

Major League Fishing filmed a portion of its Major League Fishing GEICO Selects in Youngstown last year, which is currently airing. The Major League Fishing television series is the highest-rated fishing program in the industry. Both Jack Link’s Major League Fishing and Major League Fishing GEICO Selects appear exclusively on Outdoor Sportsman Group’s Outdoor Channel and World Fishing Network.

“After witnessing Major League Fishing in action last year, we knew the ‘no limits’ style of the tournament would be the perfect addition to our event,” said Jack Wollitz, Tournament Director of the Muransky Companies Bass Classic. “We look forward to continuing this new tradition for years to come as we raise funds to benefit the local community.”

DENVER (June 9, 2016) – Outdoor Channel invites viewers to join the family with novel and exciting programming airing the week of June 13–19.

Viewers keep “quacking” up with four episodes in a row of Duck Dynasty airing every Monday night.
