Winter is Coming on Outdoor Channel with the Season 5 Premiere of “Dropped: Escape the Arctic” Beginning on Monday, July 11 at 9 p.m. ET

DENVER (July 6, 2016) – Two brothers, Chris and Casey Keefer, are once again dropped in the freezing cold landscape of Alaska for a singular mission: stay alive for 30 days. Beginning on Monday, July 11 at 9 p.m. ET, tune in for the fifth installment in the “Dropped” series with Dropped: Escape the Arctic exclusively on Outdoor Channel.

Catch a sneak peek of the show by visiting: http://outdoorchannel.com/showvideos.aspx?show-id=37255

Winter is coming and the Keefers are embarking on another journey to the Alaskan tundra. However, this time is quite different as they are dropped with literally nothing but the clothes on their back and a sidearm to try and thwart any predators. They want provisions? They will have to work for them as supply caches have been placed at predetermined locations along their route.

“In previous Dropped episodes, we were at least left with a bundle of provisions,” explained Casey Keefer. “This time, we upped the stakes by placing caches of supplies we absolutely needed to survive along our route. Either we made it in time to get our cache, or it was lost forever.”

The Keefer brothers will have to put their skills as hunters, woodsmen and anglers to full use as they try to escape the treacherous terrain of Alaska and float downriver to their pick-up point.

“Our Dropped series have earned phenomenal coverage from both a survivor angle and hunting angle,” said Chris Keefer. “For some reason, our fans couldn’t get enough of seeing us suffer. We have to get our bodies – and minds – into serious shape before attempting these treks. It is a true test of stamina, grit and brotherly love.”

Outdoor Channel’s WildComm Shows Move from Monday to Thursday Nights

DENVER (July 5, 2016) – Three popular Wildcomm series on Outdoor Channel Legends of the Fall, Whitetail Freaks and Hunt Masters – have moved from Monday nights to Thursday nights.

Legends of the Fall, a series about deer hunting enthusiasts, will air every Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. The show does not limit itself to only adrenaline-charged, whitetail bow hunts across North America but also showcases a variety of big game adventures.

“Now that we’re delving into third quarter, viewers should be aware that three of their favorite WildComm shows are now airing on Thursday nights,” said Outdoor Sportsman Group – Networks CEO and President, Jim Liberatore. “We believe the switch will create a successful evening of programs that include these WildComm shows.”

Every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET, Whitetail Freaks will air exciting episodes following a dedicated and diligent crew on their hunt to acquire mega bucks. These hunters come from all walks of life and have vital things in common – passion for family, friends and whitetail hunting.

Hunt Masters will air every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET, bringing a breath of fresh air to outdoor television. The show takes viewers to the most epic and beautiful locations in the world for gripping, big-game hunts, including elk, moose, sheep and more.

“We have taken a new route for some of our nightly programming, for example positioning Monday evening to be outdoor lifestyle and adventure focused,” added Liberatore. “We want to do the same thing with some of our other nights’ programming blocks. Thursday’s theme is ‘Calls of the Hunt,’ and this is a better fit for these WildComm shows.”

Moving these long-standing Outdoor Channel shows to Thursday night gives us the opportunity to deliver our programming to an entirely new audience,” added host of Hunt Masters and President of WildComm, Gregg Ritz. “We’re excited about the direction the network is taking and the expanded viewer demographic they are going to be able to bring in. It’s an exciting time for outdoor television and we are proud to be a part of it.”
