DENVER (March 12, 2019) – Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s has signed on as the presenting sponsor of Outdoor Channel’s original series The Brigade: Race to the Hudson, slated to premiere April 22 at 8 p.m. on the outdoor lifestyle and adventure network. The announcement was made today by Outdoor Sportsman Group Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales, Jason Brist.
The Brigade: Race to the Hudson presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s follows a group of 10 strangers as they traverse four Canadian provinces, two mountain ranges and five river systems with the goal of kayaking, hiking and portaging 750 miles along the legendary York Factory Express trade route to try and reach the icy shores of Hudson Bay, Manitoba in 28 days or less. The group must find ways to navigate fierce white water, go over mountains and avoid starvation with no GPS and limited resources. The only way out is to finish or self-eliminate, and total cooperation is imperative for the group to succeed. They have 28 days to reach their destination and share in the $500,000 prize…if they make it.
“The Brigade presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s is a rugged, original series that personifies adventure in the outdoors,” Brist acknowledged. “Our sponsors understood early on that this original series was different from anything else on television. The level of support for The Brigade is testimony to the quality of the show and we think viewers will come to a similar conclusion after watching.”
Participating sponsors include: Golden Corral, Gorilla Glue, Sawyer Products, Shell Rotella and Cub Cadet.
The Brigade: Race to the Hudson presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s airs on Outdoor Channel on Mondays at 8 p.m.
