Champions Club Manager – Major League Fishing

Nature of Work:

The Champions Club Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Champions Club subscription program, including lure and supply procurement, inventory management, webinar scheduling, subscriber acquisition and retention, program planning, forecasting, and fulfillment of related subscriber benefits.

The Champions Club Manager will work closely with senior management on development and implementation of a program that consistently grows its subscriber base and meets financial goals. The Champions Club Manager will also work closely with the media, information technology and membership services teams to allocate resources for specific recruitment and transactional communication needs.

Examples of work performed:

  • Leading development and implementation of the Champions Club subscription program and related privileges, including lure, discount offer and supply procurement
  • Leading subscriber acquisition and retention efforts
  • Interacting with subscribers to understand their needs, answer their questions and provide resolution to any concerns or complaints that arise
  • Managing shipping and receiving activities related to Champions Club
  • Ensuring subscriber communications are clear, concise and accurate, and are distributed in a timely manner
  • Budgeting and tracking all expenses related to Champions Club
  • Additional duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Minimum
    • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business administration or related discipline
  • Preferred
    • Experience working in recruitment for a membership-based organization or in promotions
    • Experience with tackle selection and procurement for a subscription program, retailer or wholesaler
    • Online retailing experience

  • A passion for bass fishing and knowledge of relevant equipment and tactics
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and writing skills
  • A desire to master all aspects of subscription box management
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • The ability to organize, process and analyze a large amount of data and act on it in a timely manner
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
  • Interpersonal communications skills
  • A working knowledge of the tournament-fishing industry and its key figures
  • A flare for creative marketing strategies
