Graphic Designer & Video Editor – Major League Fishing

Nature of Work:

Major League Fishing seeks a creative professional to serve as a Graphic Designer and Video Editor. This position’s primary role is creation and execution of broadcast quality motion graphics for coverage of professional bass fishing. The secondary role is execution of various video editing projects.

Examples of work performed:

  • Design visual content for broadcast production.
  • Work with producers on application and execution of video graphic content.
  • Assist in livestreamed production as needed.
  • Complete video editing projects as needed.
  • Contribute to other aspects of production as required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Minimum
    • BS/BA degree in field or related field
    • High School or GED
    • 2+ years’ experience in field
    • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    • Certification or additional degree

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Ross Xpression CG System
  • 3 years’ experience with Avid or comparable editing systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of the post-production process.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a group to accomplish goals.
  • Adept at problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS X.
  • Proficiency with Windows 7, 10, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Self-starter; able to develop an approach to problem-solving with minimal direction and to find innovative solutions to challenges that are encountered while pursuing an end goal.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects at once and to exercise good judgment when confronted with conflicting timelines and multiple requests for quick turnarounds.
  • Must be self-motivated.
