POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The position will report to the Director of On-Air Promotions Planning and Strategy and will work closely with the network’s ad sales, creative services, research, and traffic departments. The ideal candidate must have previous television network scheduling experience. This position will also assist in managing materials and establishing delivery deadlines.

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promo planning and placement of on-air promotional assets, including secondary events, to meet network ratings and demo goals and fulfill sponsorship commitments
  • Build and maintain the daily promotional schedule.
  • Coordinate with traffic department on daily log delivery and adjustments as needed
  • Maintain and update promo inventory library
  • Prepare quarterly grids and assign production deadlines
  • Initial point of contact for scheduling discrepancies
  • Enter block orders into software and schedules based on parameters of the contract
  • Schedule inventory for all stunts and marathons
  • Cross train and fill in as needed on scheduling for Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and WFN

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in broadcast or cable
  • Traffic or on-air promotions experience for an ad agency
  • Previous experience with promotional planning software platforms (GRiPit/Traffic Master/VCI/Wide Orbit) a plus
  • Strong spot placement skills
  • Proficient organizational and communication skills
  • Strong initiative and the ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Team player and a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree
