Taking Family Vacations on “Duck Dynasty”; Testing JAWS on “Hollywood Weapons”; Testing Core Values on “Carter’s W.A.R.” and Finding Work in Mexico on “Friday Night at the Movies”

DENVER (March 30, 2017) Outdoor Channel viewers will join new adventures with their favorite outdoorsmen and women during the week of April 3–9 as the Duckmen on Duck Dynasty celebrate hard work with a couple family vacations; from the classic movie JAWS Chief Brody and the hosts of Hollywood Weapons recreate a memorable scene; Ivan Carter confronts a lion poacher on Carter’s W.A.R. and the classic western film, All the Pretty Horses, closes out the week.

Starting the week are two episodes of Duck Dynasty. First, after all their hard work, Willie decides to take the entire Robertson clan on a family vacation to Hawaii. Then, for Willie’s birthday, Jase organizes a family trip to Lake D’Arbonne, a favorite hangout of the brothers in their youth. Hollywood Weapons is up next with back to back episodes. First, host Terry Schappert puts several weapons to the test in an underwater experiment from a scene from Criminal Minds. Next, in an iconic scene from JAWS, Chief Brody hangs onto his sinking boat as the giant great white shark approaches him with a scuba tank lodged in its mouth, so the guys construct a giant replica shark on a motorized platform to test if you can hit, and explode, the tank with an M1 Garand rifle.

Friday night on Carter’s W.A.R., investigating a string of murdered lions, Ivan gets to the heart of an ancient conflict between humans and these big cats, and the outcome will test Ivan’s own core values about cultural perspective and conservation. Then, Friday Night at the Movies ends the week with All the Pretty Horses. In this classic western, Texas cowboys head to Mexico in search of work, but find themselves in trouble with the law after one of them falls in love with a rancher’s daughter.

Declaring War on Beavers on “Duck Dynasty”; Cave Rescues on “Backcountry Rescue”; Enforcing the Law on “Wardens presented by Streamlight”; Saving and Transporting Rhinos on “Carter’s W.A.R.” and Fighting for Family on “Friday Night at the Movies”

DENVER (March 23, 2017) – During the week of March 27–April 2, Outdoor Channel viewers will experience new action in the outdoor world to start the new quarter as the Duckmen on Duck Dynasty have had enough, and finally declare war on the disruptive beavers on their land; Tim Ciocarlan goes on a cave rescue on Backcountry Rescue; the Montana Wardens enforce the rules of hunting in their state on Wardens presented by Streamlight; Ivan Carter journeys to protect a friend’s rhinos that are in danger from poachers on Carter’s W.A.R. and classic western film, Big Jake, closes out the week.

Starting the week are four episodes of Duck Dynasty. First, after a big order comes in, Willie pushes the Duck Commander team to meet the tight deadline, while Phil and Si declare war on the beavers whose dams are disrupting the water supply. Secondly, Jase challenges Willie to a hamburger cook-off, and their very different strategies lead to inedible results. Then, Jase, Martin, and Godwin offer to build a playhouse for Jep’s kids, but their design is nowhere close to what Jep and Jessica had in mind. In the night’s last episode, Phil and the guys set out to clean all the duck blinds, turning up an assortment of odd wildlife and old garbage along the way. Backcountry Rescue is back and up next on Monday night. Tim Ciocarlan demands a lot of everyone around him, especially during a cave rescue, what he describes as the worst kind of rescue possible. Closing out Monday night on Wardens presented by Streamlight are the Montana Wardens using everything from a deer decoy to a K-9 to make sure hunters are following the rules.

Friday night on Carter’s W.A.R., Ivan goes on a journey to save his friend’s 19 rhinos from the poaching epidemic now sweeping through South Africa. His solution is a logistical nightmare of transporting the entire herd to a secure location 600 miles across the country. Then, Friday Night at the Movies ends the week with Big Jake. In 1909, when John Fain’s gang kidnaps Big Jake McCandles’ grandson and holds him for ransom, Big Jake sets out to rescue the boy.
