Tractor Racing on “Duck Dynasty”; Vancouver Island Bear Hunt on “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures”; Fending Off Rhino Poachers on “Carter’s W.A.R.”  and The Lincoln County Land War on “Friday Night at the Movies”

DENVER (January 19, 2017) – Outdoor Channel viewers have plenty of programming to enjoy and wrap up the first month of the year during the week of January 23–29. The Duckmen participate in a lawn mower race on Duck Dynasty; Jim Shockey auctions off a hunting adventure of a lifetime on Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures; Ivan Carter finds a solution to a rhino poaching epidemic on Carter’s W.A.R. and classic western film, Chisum, highlights Friday night.

Outdoor Channel begins the week with four episodes of Duck Dynasty. First, to prepare for her driving test, Sadie receives “Robertson-style” driving lessons from Willie, Jase and Si. Next, it’s all hands on deck for the Duckmen when an old high school nemesis challenges them to an old fashion race at the local lawn mower competition. Then, after Willie’s son, John Luke, leaves the pickup in the driveway with a bone-dry gas tank, Willie and Korie decide that it’s time to get him his own car. Finally, when NASCAR sensation Clint Bowyer pays a visit to the Duck Commander warehouse, Willie and the guys spend the day hanging out with the professional racecar driver.

Friday, on Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures, Jim auctions off a Vancouver Island coastal bear hunt, and the funds raised go back into conservation. Part of the deal is that Jim will personally guide the auction winner. Next, on Carter’s W.A.R., Ivan goes on a journey to save his friend’s 19 rhinos from the poaching epidemic sweeping through South Africa. The solution is a logistical nightmare of transporting the entire herd to a secure location 600 miles across the country. Then, classic western film, Chisum, closes out Friday Night at the Movies. Cattle baron, John Chisum, joins forces with “Billy the Kid” and Pat Garrett to fight the Lincoln County Land War.

Next up, on Carter’s W.A.R., while visiting a secret orphanage that cares for rescued baby rhinos, Ivan discovers the blood, sweat, and tears that go into saving this endangered species. Unexpectedly, an emergency phone call sends him on an adventure with a group of local heroes to save the next newly orphaned rhino. Next up is Comanche Moon on Friday Night at the Movies. Based on the final book in the Lonesome Dove series, this mini-series follows the adventures and love lives of young Texas Rangers, Woodrow Call and Augustus McRae, leading up to their retirement in the city of Lonesome Dove.

Celebrating 40 Years of Business on “Duck Dynasty”; Exploring the West on  “Big Country Fridays” and the Next Round of Competition on “Major League Fishing”

 DENVER (December 29, 2016) – Outdoor Channel rings in the new year with exciting adventures for viewers during the week of January 2–8. Willie and the Robertson crew celebrate the 40^th anniversary of Duck Commander on Duck Dynasty; Ivan Carter investigates the cause of a string of murdered lions on Carter’s W.A.R.; classic western film, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, ends Big Country Fridays and Major League Fishing closes out the week with a fierce competition in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Three episodes of Duck Dynasty begin this week on Outdoor Channel. First, for Willie’s birthday, Jase organizes a family trip to Lake D’Arbonne, Louisiana, a favorite hangout of the brothers in their youth. Then, it’s the 40-year anniversary of Duck Commander, and this celebration is a Louisiana bayou-style shindig. Finally, the Duck Commander team is invited to unveil a wing of the local Bass Pro shop that will feature their products.

Big Country Fridays opens with Carter’s W.A.R. investigating a string of murdered lions. And Ivan gets to the very heart of an ancient conflict between humans and lions. The outcome will test Ivan’s own core values about cultural perspective and conservation. Next up is The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly on Friday Night at the Movies. A bounty hunting scam joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a third party in a race to find a fortune of gold buried in a remote cemetery.

Saturday, on Major League Fishing, six anglers compete in Osage Beach, Missouri and only one will advance into the 2017 Summit Cup.
