DENVER (December 19, 2016) – During the week of December 26–January 1, viewers will welcome the new year with several new shows and seasons on Outdoor Channel. Willie and the Robertson clan go on a well-deserved vacation in celebration of their hard work on Duck Dynasty; Ivan Carter shows viewers around his homeland in South Africa on Carter’s W.A.R.; classic western film, Hombre, ends Big Country Fridays and Major League Fishing closes out the week with the Summit Select qualifying round one.

Two episodes of Duck Dynasty begin this week on Outdoor Channel. First, after all their hard work, Willie decides to take the entire Robertson clan on a family vacation to Hawaii. Then, Korie, Missy, and Jessica plan a ceremony on the Robertson land for Phil and Miss Kay to renew their vows on their wedding anniversary.

Big Country Fridays opens with Carter’s W.A.R., the untold story of one man’s quest to save his homeland of Africa, the world’s most wild and dangerous continent on earth. Next up is Hombre on Friday Night at the Movies. John Russell, disdained by his fellow stagecoach passengers because he was raised by Indians, becomes their only hope for survival when they encounter outlaws.

Saturday, Major League Fishing presents the sport of competitive professional bass fishing at its highest level in a new and compelling format. This tournament series is more exciting, more dramatic and highlights the fierce competition found in professional bass fishing starting with the Summit Select qualifying round one.
