New Episodes Airing February 14-21

DENVER (February 12, 2016) – Sportsman Channel brings viewers a jam-packed week of outdoor lifestyle programming. To start, viewers won’t want to miss Sunday’s fan favorites: “Just Junie,” in its first season airing a two-part special, as well as welcoming back “Pigman: The Series” for the premiere of its seventh season. Later in the week, viewers experience more fishing on Florida’s coast, harvesting meat for survival in the wilderness and chilling competition in North Dakota beginning Sunday, February 14 on Sportsman Channel:

Just Junie (Sunday at Noon ET): After filling her freezer with enough meat for a year from a hunt on Rancho El Puerto in Old Mexico, Junie James was coined, “Señorita Sangre,” which means “Ms. Blood.” She approaches life with a ‘do-it-yourself’ attitude, putting food on her family’s table by means of hunting and cooking the meat all on her own. Viewers will not want to miss this two-part special airing February 14 and February 21 to understand how this huntress got her nickname. For a look ahead at the two-part episode, click here: Promo

Pigman: The Series (Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET): In the season premiere of this long-time favorite, Brian “Pigman” Quaca receives a once-in-a-lifetime chance when a Maine local adds Pigman as the hunter on his moose hunting permit. After an endless amount of walking and waiting, the opportunity to check procuring a moose off his bucket list finally comes when he least expects it. But, will he actually fulfill his dream? MeatEater (Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT): In this week’s seasonal Cooking Special episode, Steven Rinella gives the “how to” on breaking down an entire whitetail deer. After gutting the deer, Rinella describes how to transform the meat into steaks, roasts, shanks and then enlightens the audience on how to turn the oddities that are often discarded into something edible.

Wild Billz (Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET): Viewers are brought to tropical, Key Largo, Florida for leg three of the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series. As the second half of the series heats up, tempers fume among the captains and crews of the three teams – 4 Aces, Liquid and Vitamin Sea Too – who are being pushed to their limits in hopes of the $2 million cash prize. Lake Commandos (Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. ET): A colossal cold front in Warwick, North Dakota causes spring temperatures to plummet below freezing, making the epic, multi-species battle that takes place in this episode between anglers, Steve Pennaz and Pat Kalmerton, a tough one to call.
