Sportsman Channel’s “Apex Predator” Runs with Wolves – Thursday, April 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT

April 20, 2015

NEW BERLIN, WI (April 20, 2015) – Intrigued by the Grey Wolf’s physical ability to hunt, Remi Warren, host of Sportsman Channel’s original series Apex Predator, explores what it takes to run with wolves. He will test his own strength and endurance by attempting to run down a herd of elk with a bow – as a wolf. When his physical strength isn’t enough, he must enlist the help of his brother and the director and cinematographer of Apex Predator, to form a wolf pack. Warren leads the pack in this week’s episode of Apex Predator airing Thursday, April 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

Wolves are well designed hunters and in order to hunt like one, Warren must learn the physical attributes he needs to successfully execute the wild animal’s hunting techniques. Warren heads to the local professional sports and fitness training center to learn the science behind his own physical strengths and weaknesses in comparison to a wolf. Warren discovers he is extremely fit and agile – for a human – but his physical strengths cannot compete with a wolf’s natural ability. Warren uses his newfound knowledge to use the tactics of a wolf on a bowhunt for elk. When he realizes physical fitness isn’t enough, he devises a new plan and forms a wolf pack with his brother and members of the Apex Predator team.

apexpredator-300x169“It’s amazing how quickly bonds can form when you’re engaged in a shared task like a hunt,” said Warren. “I think I have a little taste of what it really means to be a wolf. You live as a pack, you die as a pack and you succeed and fail as a pack.”
