DENVER (January 19, 2022) Wild Strongholds (Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET on Sportsman Channel) has a single-minded mission: tell stories that portray and advocate the role conservation plays in hunting. The show is a human-interest story that focuses on the collaboration of many people to protect wildlife and wild places.

Through extensive interviews and unique wildlife footage, Wild Strongholds portrays continuing conservation efforts and the effects those endeavors have on local communities and the role hunting plays in the future of wild habitats.

Ed Hudson, host, has been passionate for the outdoors since childhood. The eldest of three, on a ranch with few neighbors, many of his early memories include playing in the wild spaces that surrounded him. While his family raised their own food, hunting was also a regular source of meat for the family table. Ed has spent decades hunting and fishing and realized that many of the places where he once fished or hunted as a child were no longer wild. Human encroachment destroyed habitat and wild places which harbored his childhood memories. In an effort to create awareness about how human encroachment is damaging wild habitat, Ed created Wild Strongholds.

Wild Strongholds airs on Sportsman Channel on Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET.
