About the Role

We are looking to fill one position at either a Sr. Manager or Director level dependent on the candidate pool we receive. The nature and examples of work performed below will be the same for either level, the main differences are noted as follows:

  • Sr. Manager:
    1. No direct reports
    2. Works with Digital Analytics Manager to help evaluate digital measurement solutions to help identify those that augment current solutions and will help drive revenue growth.
  • Director:
  • Has direct reports
  • Manages the Business Intelligence team to evaluate digital measurement solutions identifying those that augment current solutions and will help drive revenue growth.

Nature of Work:

The Sr. Manager or Director, Digital Ad Sales Research contributes to the Ad Sales strategy of the Outdoor Sportsman Groups portfolio of digital properties. Works with Ad Sales to identify and profile audience segments that provide unique sales benefits to advertisers and will drive revenue growth. Coordinates with Digital Ad Sales team and Ad Sales Marketing to develop all Research materials and recurring sales literature for digital properties including Upfront, SHOTShow, ATA, ICAST, etc. Leverage Ad Spend data for Endemic and Non-Endemic Ad Sales prospecting.

Examples of work performed:

  • Works closely with Digital Ad Sales, Ad Sales Marketing, and Digital Analytics Manager to create effective sales positioning that differentiates OSG’s digital portfolio in the marketplace
  • Analyzes user behavior, creates and maintains key reports, dashboards and analyses utilizing web analytics tools including but not limited to Google Analytics/G4, Conviva and MOAT Analytics
  • Works closely with Ad Sales, Digital Ad Sales Operations, and Digital Analytics Manager to respond to RFPs and highlight the value of OSG digital and cross-portfolio properties; works with Ad Ops to help develop post-campaign client insights.
  • Utilizes primary and syndicated research to support sales with the development of strong positioning stories to highlight the value of our digital and cross platform audience and sponsorship opportunities to the advertising community.
  • Provides daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc and campaign specific insights to drive business decisions and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. BS/BA degree in marketing/communications/economics or related field
    2. 1-3 years’ experience in field for Sr. Manager
    3. 3-5 years’ experience in field for Director
    4. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
  • Certification or additional degree
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

  • Efficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Domo, Qlik.
  • Ability to train team members in advanced analytics reporting techniques.

Compensation:

  • Base salary range per annum starting at:
    • Sr. Manager – $85,000
    • Director – $110,000
