Jeff joined Bowhunter Magazine in 1989, and served the original all-bowhunting publication in numerous editorial roles before moving to associate publisher and then publisher. In over 25 years with the magazine, Jeff has been involved with every aspect of putting the magazine together. He is a dedicated bowhunter and student of archery history and now oversees Bowhunter Magazine & TV, Petersen’s Bowhunting and North American Whitetail out of the company’s Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office.

In a bowhunting career spanning 33 years, across 25 states, 10 Canadian provinces/territories and 6 countries, Curt Wells has pursued 24 species of big game exclusively with a bow and arrow.
Curt sold his first magazine article to Bowhunter Magazine in 1985 and was eventually named Equipment Editor in 2003. In 2005, Curt began hunting on camera and writing scripts for Bowhunter TV and was named co-host in 2009. That same year Curt authored his first book, The Modern Bowhunter – Geared Up!, and served as Editor of the Pope and Young Club’s Bowhunting Records of North American Whitetail Deer, Third Edition. Then, in 2010, Curt was named Editor of Bowhunter Magazine, a position he holds today. Curt lives in Wahpeton, North Dakota with his wife Patti. He has two sons and three grandsons.
