“The Bowhunting Podcast” Records Nearly 10,000 Downloads in 30 Days

DENVER (March 1, 2022) – Petersen’s Bowhunting, “The Modern Bowhunting Authority,” has relaunched its long-running podcast with a new name, logo, increased show frequency and a renewed focus on topics and guests that appeal to serious bowhunters. The new format replaces the long-running “Petersen’s Bowhunting Radio” that published nearly 200 episodes and logged more than 550,000 verified downloads.

Despite bowhunting being in its “off-season,” The Bowhunting Podcast earned strong early traction, with nearly 10,000 episode downloads since its launch on Feb. 1.

“We are thrilled with the positive early response The Bowhunting Podcast has received, and we look forward to continued growth throughout 2022 as word continues to spread and we build a compelling library of shows,” Petersen’s Bowhunting Editor and podcast co-host Christian Berg said.

The Bowhunting Podcast is co-hosted by Berg and Associate Editor Mark Demko. New episodes are released every Tuesday and are available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Podbean and iHeartRadio.

Recent episode topics include: shed antler hunting with Shane Indrebo of the North American Shed Hunters Club; a visit with Curt Geier and Clint Casper from Working Class Bowhunter; an in-depth discussion of the one-sticking climbing method with saddle-hunting expert Greg Staggs; and the incredible story of a 200-inch, public-land Iowa whitetail taken by Michigan bowhunter Mike Callas.

“We are fortunate to focus on bowhunting every single day as we create content for the Petersen’s Bowhunting print magazine and our website at bowhuntingmag.com,” Berg said. “The podcast is another way to connect with like-minded hunting archers and share our passion for the hunt.”
