It’s Official: Spring Fever Overtakes Q2 Programming on Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks

Additional Fishing Programming Makes Waves on
Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network

DENVER (March 25, 2021) – Spring fever adventures are in full swing on Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks (Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network). From magnificent vistas abroad to finding sweet, fishing honey holes close to home, each network offers adventure, excitement and action-packed shows of all kinds in its second quarter (Q2) programming lineup. With original premieres and new episodes from returning series across all three networks, viewers also can expect the most original outdoor programming focused on their passions beginning on Monday, March 29.

Outdoor Channel has fish in focus this quarter with additional premiere episodes of the unique series from San Diego, The Fishmonger (Mondays, 7:30 p.m. ET), as part of the popular “Taste of the Wild” block on Monday evenings, which also features the adventurous series, WildFed (7 p.m. ET). Tune in for the Season Four debut of the original series, The Hunt for Monster Bass (April 3, 4:30 p.m. ET), hosted by 2019 GEICO Bassmaster Classic winner Ott DeFoe. Major League Fishing Cups continues with elimination rounds, sudden death and championship titles on the line (Saturdays at 2 p.m. ET). And find out whether or not a group of huntresses are in it for true love – or is it the ‘likes’ they desire – on Season Five of For Love or Likes (March 30, 11 p.m. ET).

  • The Fishmonger (Mondays, 7:30 p.m. ET): The Fishmonger illustrates how the best fish in the world make it to our restaurants and dinner tables.
  • WildFed (Mondays, 7 p.m. ET): Join modern-day, hunter-gatherer Daniel Vitalis on an exciting culinary journey. Each adventure becomes more than a meal – it’s a glimpse into wildlife, gear, cooking and culture of the rapidly growing wild foods lifestyle.
  • The Hunt for Monster Bass (Premieres April 3, 4:30 p.m. ET): Professional angler Ott DeFoe travels the country looking to find double-digit largemouth bass.
  • Major League Fishing Cups (Saturdays, 2 p.m. ET): Thirty anglers qualify for each of these four MLF Cup events: Challenge Cup, Heritage Cup, Patriot Cup and Summit Cup. Patriot Cup is up first, beginning April 3, with Summit Cup starting on May 15.
  • For Love or Likes (Premieres March 30, 11 p.m. ET): The world’s only all-women hunting competition that puts well-known female hunters from Instagram to the test – to see if they are posting for the “love” of the outdoors, or the “likes” they get on their social media profile.

Sportsman Channel’s Q2 program lineup sees the inclusion of more fishing programming, including new episodes of Hook the Future (Sundays, 3 p.m. ET) and Catching Bass with Dustin Wilks (Sundays, 4:30 p.m. ET). Reel Animals (April 3, 2 p.m. ET) is a new series making its debut in Q2. Catch new episodes of favorite series: Predator Pursuit (Mondays, 10 p.m. ET), The Life at Table Mountain (Wednesdays, 10 p.m. ET), Guns & Ammo (Thursdays, 9 p.m. ET) and Pigman: The Series (Sundays, 8:30 p.m. ET).

  • Hook the Future (Sundays, 3 p.m. ET): Each week, Captain Don takes a fresh crew on a new adventure. In each episode, the kids are the prime movers – from piloting the boat to landing fish as big as they are.
  • Catching Bass with Dustin Wilks (April 5, 4:30 p.m. ET): Dustin Wilks provides information on approaches, techniques and strategies to help catch more bass.
  • Reel Animals (April 3, 2 p.m. ET): Follow Captain Mike Anderson on his travels around the world, as the seasoned Florida guide shows viewers how to, where to and when to catch them.

World Fishing Network (WFN) presented by Midway USA will get viewers hooked on the fishing experts and personalities that cast their lines across WFN. Viewers will learn how to get the most out of their time spent on the water on Monday nights with “Reel Bass Mondays” beginning at 6 p.m. ET featuring Force on Force (6:30 p.m. ET) and Major League Fishing All Angles (10 p.m. ET). Also, don’t miss new series Budget Outdoors (Tuesdays, 6 p.m. ET), as well as returning program Pro Team Journal (Wednesday, 9:30 p.m. ET) and The Dimestore Fisherman (Fridays, 7:30 p.m. ET).

  • Force on Force (Mondays, 6:30 p.m. ET): Each week on Army Bass Anglers (ABA) signature television series, Force on Force, showcases teams representing four of the five branches of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Major League Fishing All Angles (Mondays, 10 p.m. ET): Major League Fishing's All Angles tells the story of Major League Fishing from a new perspective.
  • Budget Outdoors (Tuesdays, 6 p.m. ET): The Budget Outdoors team features high-quality fishing locations that are affordable. Most of these trips are local, DIY, or done in an affordable way that anyone can go do.
  • Pro Team Journal (Wednesdays, 9:30 p.m. ET): A fast-paced magazine-format fishing show featuring the most elite Pro Team in the fishing industry, which includes such anglers as Kevin VanDam, Denny Brauer, Mark Davis, Shawn Grigsby, Greg Hackney, Mark Rose and Jordan Lee, among others.
  • The Dimestore Fisherman (Fridays, 7:30 p.m. ET): Jim Hoey is the creator and the originator of the The Dimestore Fishermen outdoor television program. After 273 unique feature episodes, only ever filmed in Canada, he continues to host and produce one of the longest standing wholly-owned and independent television programs in Canada’s history.

    • The “reel” catches are expert anglers Carter Andrews (The Obsession of Carter Andrews, Saturdays, 10 am ET) and Mark Zona (Zona’s Awesome Fishing Show, Sundays, 9 a.m. ET) as they continue in Q2 with new episodes and new adventures.
    • Longmire completes its sixth and final season in April. But don’t worry, Outdoor Channel is starting back with Season One beginning on April 19.
    • Legendary actor and film director, Clint Eastwood, overtakes Outdoor Channel movie nights on Friday and Saturdays beginning at 8 p.m. ET with beloved films:
      Joe Kidd; The Outlaw, Josey Wales; Pale Rider and Space Cowboys.
