Outdoor Channel Airs Never Before Seen Season of Drag Racing Favorite “Pinks: All Out” Every Monday In March at 8:30 p.m. ET

March 3, 2016

Programming Underscores Network’s Strategy to Broaden Its Audience Base

DENVER (March 3, 2016) – Beginning the week of March 7, Outdoor Channel is welcoming back another franchise favorite: Pinks: All Out, the grassroots drag racing competition that previously aired on SPEED. The series hosts hundreds of the best “weekend speedsters” racing their own cars at drag strips across the country to compete for the chance to win a hefty cash prize. The month-long special will feature never before seen, race-filled episodes airing on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET for four consecutive weeks, with the finale airing on March 28.

Adding Pinks: All Out to their Monday night lineup is another example of how
Outdoor Channel continues efforts to expand its audience and display more diverse outdoor lifestyle activities. The network also recently acquired the cable syndication rights to air the first six seasons of the hit series Duck Dynasty and began airing back-to-back episodes of the first season on Monday nights.

“We are excited to be drawing an even wider audience to Outdoor Channel by adding successful franchise programs like Duck Dynasty and now, Pinks: All Out to the network’s roster,” said Jim Liberatore, CEO & President, Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks. “Our goal is to make Outdoor Channel more accessible to broader audiences creating an opportunity to expose them to even more compelling outdoor lifestyle content. We are using Monday nights to showcase the depth of our programming range.”

Pinks: All Out reintroduces viewers to the vintage style, street racing scene made famous during the 1950s and 60s, complete with “armdrop” style starts for the races. Competitors featured on the show are not professional racers; rather, they are car aficionados determined to see if they can turn their own vehicles into speed kings. With new episodes airing throughout March, new audiences, as well as those already familiar with the series will have a chance to view never before seen episodes that turn real-life competitive drama into explosive drag racing action made safe and legal.
