Brains and Beards in “Duck Dynasty”, Season 5 Premiere of “DROPPED” and Country Friday Nights Kickin’ its Boots Off

DENVER (July 7, 2016) – Outdoor Channel is running, leaping, bounding and soaring into the third week of the quarter (July 11–17) with exciting, high-kickin’ and original outdoor programming.

Keep on quacking with back-to-back-to-back-to-back episodes of Duck Dynasty airing every Monday night. First, the guys try to make their own beef jerky after Willie refuses to share the batch of Biltong he had imported. Next, the crew finally gets around the firewall Willie installed to stop them from goofing off on the Internet while at work. Then, Rebecca comes home for a visit after finishing a fashion internship in Los Angeles but Willie begins to wonder how long she plans to stay. Lastly, after Willie hires Korie’s cousin as a personal assistant, the guys rebel against receiving orders from an outsider. Later in the evening, the new season of DROPPED premieres as the Keefer brothers are dropped in Alaska, armed with nothing but a couple of Glock 20s. Will they survive? Tuesday evening, Drury’s THIRTEEN features the family hunting frequently – they typically experience a hunting hiatus this time of year but they quickly realize this October ‘lull’ isn’t so bad.

Friday nights continue to kick the dust up with two country-themed shows and a movie. First up, on Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors, Craig’s persistence finally pays off after he makes multiple trips to his favorite Illinois destination – Illinois Ohio Valley Trophy Hunts – to procure a whitetail. Then, viewers continue on Nick’s Wild Ride featuring Nick’s three favorite things – ducks, dogs and beer. Nick heads to Nebraska to hunt waterfowl, explore one of the best duck lodges in the country and then travel to Colorado for gourmet hot dogs at a topnotch microbrewery. Wrapping up the evening is Friday Night at the Movies airing a 1959 John Wayne classic – The Horse Soldiers, – where a Union Calvary regiment is sent behind Confederate lines to destroy a rail line supply center.
