Table Tennis on “Duck Dynasty”; Defeating Aliens on “Hollywood Weapons”; The Unsung Heroes on “Carter’s W.A.R.” and Vera Cruz on “Friday Night at the Movies”

DENVER (May 11, 2017) – The week of May 15–21 will entertain Outdoor Channel viewers with friendly competition on Duck Dynasty; a battle with an infamous alien on Hollywood Weapons; inspirational conservation efforts on Carter’s W.A.R. and the classic western film – Vera Cruz.

Four episodes of Duck Dynasty kick off Monday night on Outdoor Channel. First, the guys’ assignment to clean out the warehouse turns into an all-day ping-pong tournament when they uncover an old table among the junk. Then, Rebecca comes home for a visit after completing a fashion internship in Los Angeles, but Willie begins to wonder how long she plans to stay. Next, Willie’s refusal to share a batch of imported jerky prompts the guys to try making their own. Finally, the air conditioning unit at the Duck Commander warehouse goes down when a heat wave envelops West Monroe and the duck call assembly room becomes a boiling workshop.

Two epic episodes of Hollywood Weapons close out Monday night as scenes from one of the most popular episodes of Star Trek: Original Series are put to the test. Captain James T. Kirk battles and defeats the Gorn alien by creating gunpowder from the base elements found on the planet. The hosts of Hollywood Weapons partner with Star Trek: Original Series set tour in New York to test the reality of making gunpowder by hand without blowing themselves up. Then, a scene from the movie Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is recreated, where Nick Wells (Robert De Niro) uses a blowtorch to cut through a safe, fill it with water, and blow the door off using a small explosive device.

Friday night on Carter’s W.A.R., Ivan journeys to four countries to find out what it truly means to devote your life to the cause of conservation, and what makes these unsung heroes tick. From rhino saviors and lion researchers, to savvy entrepreneurs and armed security teams, Ivan tours the front lines of conservation to meet the individuals who are reshaping and protecting wild Africa. Then, Friday Night at the Movies closes out the week with the film – Vera Cruz. During the Mexican Rebellion of 1866, an unsavory group of American adventurers are hired to escort a countess to Vera Cruz.
