Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks and Comcast Team Up to Host Hunt.Fish.Feed. Event at Boston Shelter

Boston Kicks Off 14 U.S. City Hunt.Fish.Feed Initiative for 2016

DENVER – (March 23, 2016) – Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks (Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network), along with Comcast are teaming up to host a Hunt.Fish.Feed dinner at Pine Street Inn on Wednesday, March 30 beginning at 5 p.m.

Boston serves as Hunt.Fish.Feed’s first stop in 2016 during the Networks’ initiative that will cater to the nation’s needy with food support and awareness in 14 U.S. cities this year.

The unique meal will consist of venison chili and be served to Bostonians in need. Also complementing the meal will be cheddar corn bread, fresh fruits and greens along with milk, punch and dessert. Special guest Scott Leysath, Sportsman Channel TV host and Executive Chef, will help prepare and serve the donated bounty.

Hunt.Fish.Feed., created by Sportsman Channel in 2007, is a unique outreach program that taps an underutilized food source—game meat and fish donated by sportsmen and women—to feed those struggling with hunger across America. Boston’s event will utilize more than 150 pounds of venison.

“Hunt.Fish.Feed. is an opportunity for hunters and fishers to share the bounty of their good fortune from the field and water,” said Jim Liberatore, CEO and President of Outdoor Sportsman Group. “This program continues to be very important to our organization. Not only is it our intention to call out a nationwide epidemic – hunger – we are especially grateful that partners like Comcast understand and share the vision of how our passion for the outdoor lifestyle extends into the community.”

“We commend the Sportsman Channel and the Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks for the great work they do with their Hunt.Fish.Feed program, which calls attention to the important issue of addressing hunger in America,‘’ said Tim Murnane, vice president of external affairs for Comcast in Greater Boston. “We’re proud to support their work and we’re excited to volunteer at this unique dinner at The Pine Street Inn, which does an incredible job offering shelter, programs and training, and nourishment to some of Boston’s most vulnerable residents.’’
