Sportsman Channel Weekly Programming Highlights

Deer and Javelina in Mexico on “MeatEater”; Montana Hunting on “The Jackie Bushman Show Classics”; Pistol Competitions on “Top Shot” and Defensive Strategies Against Robbers on “GunVenture”

DENVER (February 16, 2017) – During the week of February 20–26 on Sportsman Channel, viewers will catch a glimpse into several places to hunt around the world and learn about different firearms to use as Steven Rinella hunts in Mexico with Janis Putelis on MeatEater; Jackie travels with a friend to check out the game in Montana on The Jackie Bushman Show Classics; the best shooters in the country compete in a pistol competition on Top Shot and the GunVenture guys teach viewers how to stay safe in a sticky situation.

MeatEater kickstarts the week on Monday Night Hunts presented by MidwayUSA. Steven Rinella and Janis Putelis hunt specific types of deer and javelin  (a type of hog) found in Mexico. Next up, on The Jackie Bushman Show Classics, Terry Rohm of Tink’s joins Jackie on a hunt in Montana while his son hunts in Canada. Jackie also announces another lucky sweepstakes winner who will win a “dream hunt” in Texas.

Next, on Lock and Load Thursdays presented by Remington, is Top Shot. In this episode, shooters compete to flip targets to their competitor’s color in a pistol competition, then they challenge each other to a game of horse with a choice of weapon, target and distance. Next, the top two marksmen reprise seven past challenges in a timed competition. Finally, on GunVenture, learn the defensive strategy of what to do if an armed robber herds everyone into the bathroom after taking their wallets.
