February 11, 2026
Mike Robinson, Melissa Bachman, Brian “Pigman” Quaca and Lee & Tiffany Lakosky Share Life Stories and Take on Some of Hunting’s Most Challenging Topics
DENVER (February 11, 2026) – In a first-of-its-kind event, the biggest stars in outdoor television gathered for a roundtable Q&A hosted by Michael Waddell at Outdoor Sportsman Group’s SHOT Show recording booth, and you’ll see and hear it all on the next episode of The Michael Waddell Podcast, presented by Spandau Arms and in partnership with Folds of Honor and Cigars International. Recording a live event of this kind at the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s packed and always raucous Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) in Las Vegas, Nevada, is no small feat, but the OSG team and Host Michael Waddell knocked it out of the park. Special guests Mike Robinson, Melissa Bachman, Brian “Pigman” Quaca and Lee & Tiffany Lakosky spent over two hours sharing their stories and tackling some very hot, sometimes personal, sometimes controversial topics. Don’t miss a single, passionate minute of what this all-star cast has to say about what it takes to live the hunting life – and in front of a camera!
The Michael Waddell Podcast is produced by Outdoor Sportsman Group and is available widely on Outdoor Channel YouTube, MyOutdoorTV, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and OutdoorChannel.com, to name a few.
In this episode, Host Michael Waddell holds court over a lively conversation that fittingly starts with the only one among them who speaks English, well-known U.K. wild game chef and restaurateur, Mike Robinson, host of the wildly popular Farming the Wild and Fishing the Wild shows. Newly located to Texas, this venison-obsessed chef has plenty to say about game management and unique hunting opportunities in Great Britain, but he’s going out of his way to share his meat care know-how here in the States.
“I just built, not for commercial reasons, just because I needed to, I just built at our house a huge processing facility,” said Robinson, “because I want to get local friends coming up and teach them how to do it; and it’s a facility that anyone can use in the area, and I want locals to come up and I want to show them the ways you can do it, because there’s a lot more to deer than just backstraps and ground and sausage.”
Brian “Pigman” Quaca, of the amazingly popular Pigman: The Series, the man who got his start whacking monster hogs with bow and arrow – then taking to the air on a Heli-Hunter copter with Ted Nugent – also had a strong message about sharing game meat. When questioned about what to do with cull deer off a Texas ranch, Pig quickly answered. “You donate it! You have to pay for the processing, because there’s no program… We’ve done a deal, actually with the Network in the cities where we donated the wild game and they cooked up this big Mulligan stew, and I’ll tell you what, kudos to these guys, because you’ve got this picture in your mind of what this person looks like that you’re helping, but no, it’s moms with little kids. It’s incredible.”
Longtime host of the award-winning Winchester Deadly Passion program, Melissa Bachman, also showed her heart for the hunting community with a tough-love message for those on social media. “I do a lot of speaking engagements and I’ll talk with people, and I’ll basically do this whole thing about how as hunters we need to unite better, right, because the anti-hunting community is super-united; they have a united front,” said Bachman. “In our community we have all these fractures, so I always talk about our getting on the same page… Part of it is, I don’t want a new hunter to post a photo of their animal and think, ‘Is the hunting community mean?’ It is important for everyone to know that we are a super-welcoming community, and you need to be a part of that,” she finished.
Lee Lakosky, famously of Crush with Lee & Tiffany, had another difficult-but-positive message for those wanting to make a career in the hunting business. “Money, I didn’t really care about that,” said Lakosky. “I just wanted to hunt. We just wanted to do the things that we love… It’s all about your work ethic. If you’re going to do something, you just go after it 100 percent and it will work out for you. It doesn’t matter what you want to do, if you work at it. It’s not going to come to easy. So many people at this stage think it just landed on you; they don’t see the work that goes into everything that you do. We need to get that point across – You can do whatever you want to; you just need to go work at it every day.”
“It was great to sit down at SHOT Show and look across the table at familiar faces,” said Waddell, “folks who in some cases I’ve grown up with in the industry – even though I hate to refer to Hunting as an industry – and others who I’ve only come to know recently but have really grown to appreciate. I think that I can speak for all of us when I say that none of us knew we were going to make it in this business when we started, and while we all worked very hard to get where we’re at, we also feel very blessed. I think that message comes across loud and clear in the voices of Mike, Melissa, Pig, Lee & Tiff. There’s just a ton of wisdom in that group, and I cannot thank them enough for sharing their time with us.”
The Michael Waddell Podcast releases new episodes every other week.
Waddell’s story began in the backwoods of Booger Bottom, Georgia, where he grew up surrounded by nature, family, and a love for the outdoors. A self-proclaimed “rowdy redneck,” his passion for hunting and storytelling led him to win a Realtree turkey-calling contest, which launched his career in the outdoor industry. From guiding and filming hunts to creating hit shows like Realtree Road Trips and Bone Collector, Waddell has become a beloved figure in the outdoor world.
