DENVER (April 27, 2021) – In Spring 2020, Outdoor Sportsman Group (OSG) was preparing to celebrate the outdoors when the pandemic put the country in a stranglehold for enjoying some group activities. But not backyard activities. Social distancing meant family fun, picnics, swimming and grilling – although experienced with more caution – forced outdoor enthusiasts to become more Backyard Ready than maybe previously expected.
As lives slowly return to a new normal across the United States in the Spring of 2021, OSG again is gearing up for a Backyard Ready redux for outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts. With “light at the end of the pandemic tunnel” coming into focus, backyard entertaining will become even more prevalent in the days, weeks and months to come.
Outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts live to be outside, uncluttered and unencumbered by four walls. That’s why Outdoor Sportsman Group is re-introducing Backyard Ready, an initiative that has outdoorsmen and women thinking about warmer weather.
Backyard Ready focuses on the place at home that families, friends and neighbors can’t get enough of. From grilling, deck improvement, lawns and gardens to swimming pools, the backyard is their private respite. OSG, while continuing to promote caution, is hoping outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts will once again be able to enjoy outdoor activities in their own backyards.

OSG’s Game & Fish website and magazine will serve as dedicated content homes for all Backyard Ready categories and information.
Consumers also will have a chance to win prizes valued up to $5,000 by entering the Backyard Ready sweepstakes.
