Sportsman Channel’s “Border to Border” Travels to The Last Frontier in Series Finale Sunday, February 8 at 9 p.m. ET

February 4, 2015

NEW BERLIN, WI (February 4, 2015) – The extraordinary 6,500-mile DIY hunting journey from New Mexico to Alaska comes to an end, as Petersen’s Hunting Adventures’ Mike Schoby enters “The Last Frontier” – Prince of Wales Island, Alaska – for the series finale of Petersen’s Border to Border. On a quest for the elusive Sitka blacktail, and with salmon and crab to catch, Schoby and guests experience a fitting end to a memorable 8-part transcontinental hunting expedition. Schoby’s quest from New Mexico to Alaska concludes Sunday, February 8 at 9 p.m. ET exclusively on Sportsman Channel. View the promo for this week’s episode here.

btbFor the DIY hunter, angler and forager, Alaska is a paradise riddled with challenging landscapes inhabited by an abundance of wildlife. After traveling through six states and one Canadian province, Schoby and his wife Dory are more than thrilled to take advantage of all the Island has to offer. With the assistance of good friend and fishing guide, Rob Endsley, crab and the highly sought after Sitka blacktail are on the menu for the team’s final meal.

“This trip had its ups and down for sure. I mean, anytime you travel 6,500 miles and spend 45 nights in a tent, there are sure to be some trying times,” admitted Schoby. “But, overall, it was an incredible experience and one that makes me extremely proud of our public land hunting heritage. Very few other places have it as good as we do right here in America.”
