Legends Live on Outdoor Sportsman Group’s Q3 Programming

DENVER (June 26, 2023) – Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network, and MyOutdoorTV are offering a refreshed Q3 programming lineup beginning Monday, June 26 showcasing legendary outdoor personalities that are experts in their respected fields of hunting, shooting, and fishing. All four linear and digital channels offer adventures from expeditions across multiple continents to local sustainable food options, all giving pure inspiration for viewers to stay tuned to original premieres and new episodes beginning Monday, June 26.

Outdoor Channel aims to deliver unique content daily, connecting passionate hunters, anglers, shooting sport experts, and more. Hunting fever builds as premieres of original series start immediately with Bowhunter TV (June 27), Ultimate Match Fishing (July 1), McMillan (July 2), The Trail (July 14), and Overlanders (July 14).

And don’t miss Farming the Wild: Complete Butchery Specials (premieres Monday, September 18 at 7 and 7:30 p.m. ET) where Chef Mike Robinson demonstrates the best techniques for butchering in this two-part special that includes showing safe extraction from the woods to skinning to bleeding to packaging and dry ageing.

  • Bowhunter TV (premieres June 27, 7:30 p.m. ET): Bowhunter Magazine celebrates the entirety of the archery hunting experience to bring viewers the best bowhunting adventure, how-to, and gear advice.
  • Ultimate Match Fishing (premieres July 1, 1:30 p.m. ET): This series features the top bass anglers in the world from both the BASS Elite Series and the FLW Tour fighting to claim the UMF Title Belt.
  • McMillan (premieres July 2, 7 p.m. ET): A real glimpse into the life of outfitter, guide, rancher, hunter, farmer, and family man – Tom McMillan.
  • The Trail (premieres July 14, 8 p.m. ET): Laramy “Sasquatch” Miller is headed out on The Trail again, accompanied by his trusty horse, Seven, and pack horse, Jensen. Laramy will test his survival skills while paying homage to mountain men of the past.*
  • Overlanders (premieres July 14, 8:30 p.m. ET): This unique vehicle dependent survival competition features five teams trying to navigate some of the earth’s most treacherous terrain. They’ll only be equipped with a one-of-a-kind 4WD vehicle and whatever they can fit inside of it. Along the way, each team will confront a series of challenges in a winner-take-all competition to the finish.*

* These series are part of the Friday night “American Wild” block of programming. Also airing those evenings are Destination Polaris, Wardens and Renovation Hunters.

Sportsman Channel trades fishing rods and reels for bows and arrows as the fall lineup features several new series coming to the network, including Roger Raglin Outdoors (Tuesdays, 8 p.m. ET), Legends of the Fall (Wednesdays, 8 p.m. ET), Duck Lore (Saturdays, 4:30 p.m. ET) and Dirt Trax TV (Thursdays, 8 p.m. ET).

Continuing to bring the pages of their respected magazines to life are North American Whitetail with a new time on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET, Guns & Ammo (Thursdays, 9 p.m. ET), and Handguns (Thursdays, 10:30 p.m. ET). Each carry on their series runs with helpful hints and how-to’s from the editors and experts who have (almost) done it all.

  • Roger Raglin Outdoors (premieres June 27, 8 p.m. ET): Join host Roger Raglin for one exciting whitetail adventure, using a variety of methods: bow, rifle, and black powder.
  • Legends of the Fall (premieres June 28, 8 p.m. ET): This new series chronicles the high-energy hunts and behind-the-scenes action of a dedicated crew of passionate hunters.
  • Duck Lore (premiers July 1, 4:30 p.m. ET): Duck hunters love to tell stories about hitting the migration just right and limiting out. We all know that isn't always reality; duck hunting is hard work, and the untold stories often involve missed shots and broken gear. Sean Weaver is a former hunting guide, TV producer, and MeatEater's resident duck nerd. Sean knows that limits of birds aren't what keep duck hunting alive, and that's what he's here to talk about.
  • Dirt Trax TV (premieres June 29, 8 p.m. ET): An award-winning off-road motorsports production that continues to answer the demands of ATV and UTV enthusiasts across North America with national broadcast coverage.
  • North American Whitetail (NEW TIME: Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET): North American Whitetail remains among the most popular and longest-running shows on outdoor television, focused entirely on the pursuit of America’s most beloved big-game species. Tune in each week for exciting hunts and the latest in land management content from across the whitetail’s range.

World Fishing Network offers the angling adventures, tips from the pros, thrilling tournaments and the latest in boats and gear WFN viewers demand. Stay in-the-know with tournament series Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour (Saturdays, 6 p.m. ET.) followed by Major League Fishing All Angles (Saturdays, 8 p.m. ET). New series joining the network include Fuel the Fire (Fridays, 8 p.m. ET), Blue Water Savages (Sundays, 6 p.m. ET), and Fifty Places to Fly Fish Before You Die (Tuesdays, 8 p.m. ET).

    • Wild Boar Fever – Spain (Premieres Sunday, September 3, 10 a.m. ET.) – Legendary hunter and conservationist Franz-Albert Oettingen-Spielberg takes viewers on a journey to the mountains of Spain.
    • Watch the unique 1-hour special of 9/11: Brothers In Arms on Monday, September 11 at 7 p.m. ET with repeat airings at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Jim and Beau Hodges are both FDNY Firefighters. Jim’s first day on the job was September 11, 2001. Follow the story of these two brothers, their fire station, and the aftermath. Learn why 9/11 is still affecting them over two decades later and how the outdoors has become their therapy.

    • LaBoar Day Marathon returns Monday, September 4 from 7-10 p.m. ET as Outdoor Channel’s annual salute to the wild boar, wild swine, and wild pig.

    • For passionate bowhunters, don’t miss “Bownanza,” a week-long bowhunting extravaganza starting September 4.
    • Waterfowl enthusiasts should tune in for “The Landing Zone” block on Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. ET sponsored by Mossy Oak featuring new episodes from Ducks Unlimited TV.
    • Stay in Saturday nights with the return of predominantly African big-game classics Trijicon’s World of Sports Afield (8 p.m. ET), Hornady’s Dark and Dangerous (8:30 p.m. ET) and Getaway to Africa (9 p.m. ET).
    • “The Maverick” is rebranding to Stonewall the Outfitters at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday nights.
