His dedication to service was inspired by his father, a Vietnam veteran and combat pilot, whose legacy and tragic loss when Nichols was fifteen set him on a path of honor and commitment.

On October 11, 2018, after 30 years of military service, Col Nichols stepped out of the F-16 cockpit for the last time and, alongside his wife Carrie, embarked on a new chapter dedicated to supporting the families of fallen or disabled American heroes. “It is an honor to share the stories of our military and first responder families and the sacrifices they make. Folds of Honor is committed to ensuring their legacies are never forgotten,” said Colonel Nick Nichols. “It was truly a pleasure to sit down with Michael in studio to share these stories of warriors, of life and of our liberty.”
